It's that time again, the weather is cooler and I'm busy creating new pieces. This past Tuesday, residents from the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie stopped by to learn about glass art. It was a great time, and they had a ton of questions. We received the following e-mail the next day:

Pauly and Debbie,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you………….. Our residents that came out to your studio had a great time.  I talked to Lavern this morning and he told me all about it.  He also said that he had always wondered how it was done and he loves to see how things are made.  He did confess that he really didn’t want to go, but Kay was firm with him and told him he would have a good time.  Well needless to say he told me that he was going to thank Kay for talking him into going.  He was all smiles as he told me about what he had seen.  You have no idea the joy that you brought to this wonderful group of people.  Thank you for giving our residents the opportunity to watch an artist create!  You brought so much joy and knowledge to our residents.  I hope that we will be able to come back again someday and bring some who weren’t able to attend and bring back those who want to see it again.  I’ve been told that our residents may be on your web site, we will be excited to see that.  Again, my heartfelt thanks for making this a wonderful adventure.  There is no greater joy in my job then to see smiles and hear the excitement in their voices as they talk about what they did and what they learned.  Thank you for bringing joy to my day.

Art on the Kinni was a great success this year. The weather was perfect, and the turnout was fantastic. It's getting to the end of the warm weather, but not the end of 20110events for us, at least not quite yet. Make sure and check out the Events page and drop in and see us. We will have work on display at the River Falls Public Library into October. Stop by, and if you see something you like, give us a call. It has been a long summer with lots of events. "Art on the Kinni" is tommorrow and it looks as if the weather will be perfect. If you have a chance, please stop by. We will have lots of pieces for you to see! See you there!
